Setting Off

We - that is Blue Bonnie and I - are off for an adventure
We are driving up to near Figueres to stay in a little cottage I have rented for a week.
Time to relax and do some meditation and writing and reading and sleeping.

Wish me luck on the road - first time in the VW van alone, driving with my RHD steering wheel on a LHD road.

There is Wifi there so perhaps there will be news. But as I hardly know anymore who I am writing to - all of you who visit on quiet feet, padding in and out with ne'er a word of hello, perhaps I will just be with myself and my two wolf companions.

Have a good week!

Dearest Kate
So sorry I've not been in touch recently, but I wish you a nurturing and reflective time on your trip. It sounds like a wonderful adventure, just you and Blue and Bonnie. Enjoy.
Love and hugs xx

It sounds as if you need a little retreat to get your peace and quiet back (no dog fights, res adoles and strangely quiet blog readers). It's a real adventure with the van and all, but I'm sure it will go just fine. Take it easy (if you can't see properly with the RHD, don't overtake, for example), sing a lot and enjoy yourself!! I LOVED being on my own in the car, driving through France and into Catalunya. And you have the wolves as company.
I am in the middle of booking a beach chalet at Gruissan plage near Narbonne for next year (end of April/beginning of May) and I hope you will be able to come and stay as well. I'm looking forward to it already and have no idea exactly how it will work out but I have fantasies of the good life, speaking French, beach walks, swimming in the Med if it's warm enough, I might even venture onto a horse....haha xxxxxx

I hope you had a safe drive over to the cottage. It sounds incredibly restful. I just found your blog through the New Life in Spain blog, and I'm so glad I did. I look forward to reading more :)
